Interfolio creates software that helps people build careers in higher education. We help our clients get the degrees & credentials they need and the teaching and research jobs they want. It's not an easy task: you need more than a resume and cover letter to succeed and we build powerful systems that solve complex problems. Our applications serve more than 100,000 individuals and thousands of colleges & universities. We've been in business since 1999 and are making waves in our markets.
But, we've got a problem: we have a product pipeline that is a mile long and we need help. We're looking for a smart, motivated and talented software developer to join our team. We're based in downtown DC (though we work well with telecommuting) and have a vibrant, eclectic culture. We think we'll beat you in FIFA on the office PS3; we'd love you to prove us wrong.
Here's what you'd do:
- Write software that our users see - and some they don't.
- Find ways to make our products faster, easier to use and better than our competition.
- Understand how data moves through our systems and create ways to make it flow better.
- Help manage our product infrastructure to keep our services up and running.
- Work with our product team to solve our hardest problems.
- Invest in your skills to constantly grow as a developer.
- Keep track of multiple projects at once and adapt to shifting priorities.
We need you to have these skills:
- ColdFusion MX and above (3+ years)
- SQL, preferable MySQL
- Mach-II or similar Object-Oriented Framework
- JavaScript
- CSS
- AJAX
- Good written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
Bonus points if you also have these:
- CVS/SVN familiarity
- UI design experience
- Understanding of ColdFusion, MySQL, IIS Administration
And, we're interested in people who:
